Fall is in FULL swing and "merrily we roll along!" I was fortunate enough to get to NYC and see [title of show] before it closes on Oct. 12. It was a great show and I was glad to get to see this witty piece about two nobodies writing a show for Broadway. Well these two nobodies, Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen, have created such a whimsical, inspirational and endearing hit. It is unfortunate that this show will be closing this weekend. If you are in NY, GO SEE THIS SHOW. www.titleofshow.com
Rehearsals for Godspell, Jr. start with Noble Fool Youth Ensemble tonight. This is my 7th show with this group. It is amazing to watch "my kids" develop and learn new talents that will help lay the foundation for their path. More information at: www.noblefool.org
This past weekend, I made my way back up to Wisconsin to conduct and play keyboards for Sweeney Todd. My friend Cindy is the musical director. She has been involved with every performance up there since 2006 and their first show, Miss Saigon. She is out of town and needed a sub, so she called me. We got through, but it was probably the trickiest sub gig I have ever had. Needless to say, I have grown by leaps and bounds because of this project, and the show still went on. I hope your fall is treating you well. All my love ---- khj
